MAKEUPLOVING - Foundation kabuki brushes

After reading an article about these brushes on Noor-El-Nisa's blog I immediately went on ebay to order them. The brushes are cheap and look like one of the latest collections of Sigma Beauty. The brush set contains 10 brushes: 5 precision brushes/small brushes and 5 kabuki brushes. You can order them in Silver/Black, White and Gold/Black.

De kwasten-set bevat 10 kwasten: 5 smalle kwasten en 5 kabuki kwasten. Ze zijn te verkrijgen in Zilver/Zwart, Wit en Goud/Zwart. 

The 5 buffer brush is perfect for concealer. You can also use them to cream contour your face. The brushes give you more control on where and how thick you put on the products.

The 5 kabuki brushes are perfect for foundation. They are realy thick and soft which gives you a beautiful application. You can start by stippeling on the foundation and then buf it in. With the warmt of your skin the foundation melts and gives a natural finish.

FOODLOVING - Date-candy-balls

Hello darings, I think you will love this recipe. For those who never made date-candy-balls or tasted them. YES! You are missing something! There are many different recipes so I just made my own thing. You can also add ingredients to it or replace them and make it your own thing. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

200g dates

5 walnuts

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon orange blossom water

70g dark chocolate

1/2 teaspoon coconut oil

sesame seeds

Lets's do this:

Deseed the dates and cut them into pieces.

Steam the dates for 10 minutes to make them softer, so you can easly mix them.

Chop the walnuts into small pieces.

Crush the steamed dates with a fork and mix in the walnuts, cinnamon and orange blossom water.

Make small balls (Tip: Make your hands a little damp so that it sticks less).

Melt the chocolate with coconut oil.

Cover the balls with chocolate.

Garnish with sesame seeds.

Leave to cool in the refrigerator until the chocolate is set.

Enjoy your home made candy! 

//Hello darings, volgens mij gaan jullie dit receptje super vinden. Voor degene die nog nooit de bekende dadel-snoep-balletjes gemaakt of geproefd hebben. JAP! jullie missen wat! Er zijn heel wat verschillende recepten dus heb ik er maar mijn eigen ding van gemaakt. Jullie kunnen er ook ingrediënten aan toevoegen of vervangen en er jullie eigen ding van maken. Enjoy!

Ingrediënten:
200g dadels
5 walnoten
1 koffielepel kaneel
1 koffielepel oranjebloesemwater
70g fondant chocolade
1/2 koffielepel kokosolie
sesamzaadjes

Lets's do this:
Ontpit de dadels en snij ze in stukjes.
Stoom de dadels gedurende 10 minuten om ze zachter te maken waardoor je ze beter kan pletten.
Snij de walnoten in kleine stukjes.
Plet de gestoomde dadels met een vork en meng er de walnoten, kaneel en oranjebloesemwater onder.
Maak kleine bolletjes (Tip: Maak je handen een beetje vochtig zodat het minder blijft plakken).
Smelt de chocolade met de kokosolie.
Bedek de bollen met chocolade.
Werk af met sesamzaadjes.
Laat afkoelen in de koelkast tot de chocolade gestold is.

Geniet van je home made candy!

MAKEUPLOVING - Ice queen make-up for ALM

I don't know if I've told you this but I am one of the editors at Aya Lifestyle Magazine. Specifically I'm the beauty editor (because I'm totally obsessed with everything that has to do with beauty duhh) and food editor (section diet, as I am a dietitian I have a good base for that). I also help with the make-up for the editorial fashion shoots.

Here you can see 2 pictures from one of the looks we did in the second edition of the magazine. //Ik weet niet of ik dit al verteld heb maar ik ben één van de editors bij Aya Lifestyle Magazine. Concreet ben ik de beauty editor (omdat ik helemaal geobsedeerd ben door alles dat met beauty te maken heeft duhh) en food editor (rubriek voeding aangezien ik dietiste ben en daar dus een goeie basis voor heb). Daarnaast help ik ook met de make-up voor de editorial fashion shoots.
